about Northwoods
“Am I a man? What does it mean to be a man? Who is God and what does He want from me?”
Many men ask these questions, but few of us have found the answers. God’s Word is where we learn who God is and who we truly are. On the Northwoods Project you’ll learn both. Invest a summer and find the answers you’re looking for:
Situated in the city of North Bay, Ontario along the shores of beautiful Lake Nipissing, the Northwoods Project lies on the threshold of wild Canada. Forests of dense pine trees are home to bear, moose, and mountain lions. Rugged cliffs give way to sparkling lakes full of fish like Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass. This beautiful environment provides the perfect setting to work on your relationship with God, free from distractions on campus.
Each week, we learn about God’s character through the Scriptures and have a chance to put it into practice through physical training, work sessions, and outreaches as we share our faith in Christ with Canadians. You’ll gain a heart for the world as we boat into a Native island and visit a youth detention center. You’ll meet weekly with a staff member for personal discipleship. You’ll be a part of a weekly Bible study of other college men from around the country. You’ll learn ministry skills to use back on campus. You’ll forge deep bonds with God and other men on three incredible outfitting adventures into Canada’s Northwoods.
Learn who God is. Understand who you are. Share your faith in Christ.
Come to the Northwoods Project.
