Who we are

Drew Marx

Drew was born and raised in rural Wisconsin. As the son of two small business owners, his understanding of operating a business was shaped by grit, authenticity, and a sense of responsibility for those around him. To him, owning a business means building relationships with every employee and taking care of customers.

Personally, he is passionate about closing the digital divide in the United States. He’s spent years working on innovative approaches to increasing broadband access—at national telecommunications providers and startups alike—and believes there’s momentum to solve the problem. With Northwoods Project, he’s excited to dive deeper into the ecosystem and grow a business—whether it’s increasing access directly or better serving communities who are now online.

From roles in software sales and corporate strategy finance to identifying and analyzing more than 20 targets for $3 billion in acquisitions, Drew has worked with great teams across organizations. He’s seen how decisions impact every team and has executed them at scale. Having graduated from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, he is excited to use his cross-functional experience to build on the legacy of accomplished business owners.

Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, skiing, and anything that gives him time in the mountains. He’s a lifelong fan of Wisconsin athletics, proud Cheesehead, and a regular fan at Fiserv Forum and American Family Field.
